A container, preferably a travel case, briefcase or equipment case, which is portable using handle components and is mobile as a result of transport rollers is equipped with additional device components which are permanently connected to its housing in order to extend its range of uses. It can be used with the aid of these components as a transport and/or working device for containers or objects which are to be carried along and are themselves not portable. The required device components can be lowered into the inside of the container when not in use or positioned at least partially embedded into the wall of the housing.
