PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of precoupling as well as raise the storage stability of a thermal recorder by providing a thermal recording layer containing a diazonium compound and a heat-meltable basic compound to be represented by a specific chemical structural formed and coupler on a supporter. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous painting liquid containing a diazonium compound, a coupler, and at least one of heat-meltable compound of the formula I or IIwhere Ra and Rb are each an alkyl, alkoxy, nitro, or aryl, R1-R7 are each a 1-18C alkyl, and n is an integer of 1 or 2 is prepared. The compound of the formula I or II is used in 1-30pts.wt. on the basis of 1pt.wt. the diazonium compound in general. The aqueous painting liquid is coated on a supporter such as paper, film, etc., by a coater such as air knife coater, etc. and dried to manufacture a thermal recorder. |
