[Problem] To propose an information processing device, and a control method therefor, that is inexpensive and easy to manufacture, and that is capable of finding the ground state of any desired Ising model. [Solution] An information processing device is provided with: a plurality of semiconductor chips, each of which retains one or a plurality of spin values and simulates spin-spin interaction; chip-to-chip interconnections which connect selected semiconductor chips; and a control unit which causes each semiconductor chip to perform an interaction calculation. The control unit converts problem data represented by an Ising model into data represented by a lattice-shaped Ising model that has the same ground state spin configuration as the original Ising model, and that can be implemented using the plurality of semiconductor chips, then divides the obtained lattice-shaped Ising model data into data segments, allocates each data segment to one of the plurality of semiconductor chips, and causes each semiconductor chip to perform an interaction calculation. |
