PURPOSE:To perform easily and securely automatic dimming even when ambient light is too much by generating an aperture value signal corresponding to a stroboscope synchronized shutter speed on the basis of a light metering output including the ambient light and setting an aperture value. CONSTITUTION:Comparators 33-35 of an aperture signal generating means 28 vary in set reference voltage through the integral capacitor 16 of a stationary light metering circuit 12 which operaes associatively with a photodetecting element 18. Those comparators 33-35 are supplied with the light metering output of a receiving circuit 19 associated with the element 18 including the ambient light through a variable resistance 29 corresponding to film sensitivity and voltage dividing resistances 30-32. Then, the comparators 33-35 generates the aperture value signal corresponding to the stroboscope synchronized shutter speed on the basis of the light metering output and outputs the signal, which is displayed on respective LEDs 37-39 of a display circuit 36; and a dimming stop setting means 40 is controlled to perform automatic dimming on the basis of the light metering output passed through the means 40. Consequently, the automatic dimming is carried ou easily and securely when the ambient light is bright. |
