PURPOSE:To attain sure carrying to a required position while a recording medium has only to be placed to a prescribed position by constituting a disc feeding mechanism so as to conduct clipping by a couple of rollers and release operation and feeding operation by one motor. CONSTITUTION:When a disc D reaches a drive roller device 20 through a guide roller device 19, a motor 31 is driven forward. Then a drive roller 20b is turned in the feeding direction of the disc D, which is carrier to a prescribed position. A plunger arm 40 is returned, a segment arm 38 is returned by a biasing force of a spring 39, and a rack 38a is meshed with a turning gear 36. A support plate 27 starts downward turning to release the pushing up of a chucking arm 16 thereby chucking a chucking panel 18 to a spindle motor 13. Since the support plate supporting a moving roller and the rack part of the segment gear arm are engaged to prevent a support plate from being rocked unexpectedly due to a shock. |
