NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I (R is H or 1-3C alkyl; A is 1-4C alkylene; B is O; one of l and n is 1 and the other is 0 or 1: m is 1-3; sum of l, m and n is 3 or 4). EXAMPLE:3-[2-(4-Methyl-5-thiazolyl)ethyl]-2,4-oxazolidinedione. USE:Remedy and preventive for gastric and duodenal ulcer of mammals including man. PREPARATION:The compound of formula I can be produced by reacting the omega- haloalkylthiazole derivative of formula II (X is Cl, Br or I) with the compound of formula III and it alkali metal salt in the presence or absence of a basic substance (e.g. K2CO3). |
