PURPOSE:The titled rubber composition exhibiting excellent frictional characteristics on a frozen road surface, which can be maintained for a long time, comprising a diene rubber, a carbon black, and a specified softener and a high molecular-weight age resistor. CONSTITUTION:At least one molecule of an aromatic amine type or a phenolic age resistor per molecule of a liquid polymer (e.g. a liquid polybutadiene) is introduced into the side chain or at the end of the molecule of a liquid polymer having a molecular weight of 200-5,000 to obtain a high molecular-weight age resistor. Then, 100pts.wt. diene rubber, 40-100pts.wt. carbon black, 5-80pts.wt. one or more softeners having the overall solubility parameter (SP value) of 8.0- 9.0 (e.g. a process oil), and 5-10pts.wt. age resistor obtained (in terms of the remaining part excluding the liquid polymer skeleton) are kneaded.
