PURPOSE:To suppress the damages of road surface and the generation of dust as small as and, at the same time, to reduce noise by fitting sintered hard alloy pins to the press-fit holes of shanks by leaving a slight projection of the tips of the pins from the press-fit holes of the shanks. CONSTITUTION:A tire spike is provided with a press-fit hole 5 composed of a tapered hole portion 6 followed by a cylindrical hole portion 7. This tire spike is composed of a shank 2, of which portion at one end is formed as an anchor head 1, and a sintered hard alloy pin 3, which is tapered away and reduce its diameter according to the direction from its tip 4 to its root 8 to correspond with the hole 5 of the shank 2 and to be fitted to the press-fit hole 5 leaving a slight projection of the tip 4. The shank 2 is to be made of an aluminium alloy containing at least Si 0.15-6.0%, Fe 0.25-1.0%, Cu 0.10-0.40%, Mn 0.03- 0.30%, Mg 0.05-5.6%, Zn 0.03-0.25% together with the aluminium, the principal ingredient. |
