PURPOSE:To produce a small speed changer enable of multi-stage speed reduction both for advance and back by providing a sub-speed changer for changing the rotary speed of input shaft linked with engine and main speed changer containing plural shift gears in same case while combining. CONSTITUTION:A sub-speed changer L for changing the rotation of input shaft 2 linked with engine and transmitting to sub-speed changer 8 is provided. Said sub- speed changer L will spline fit the sub-speed change gear 14 having large diameter gear 14a and small diameter gear 14b to the sub-speed change shaft 8 thus to enable selective gearing of each gear 14a, 14b with small diameter gear 12 and large diameter gear 13 on the input shaft 2. While main speed changer H is provided and constructed with forward rotation 2 speed gear 15, forward rotation 1 speed gear 16 and reverse rotation gear 17 fixed to the output shaft 11 at the travel wheel side, reverse rotation idle gear 18 having large and small gear sections 18a, 18b fitted idly over the input shaft 2 and large and small diameter shift gears 19, 20 fitted slidably in axial direction over the sub-speed change shaft 8.
