PURPOSE:To suppress unwanted changes, and to decrease tire deformations after extrusion and to achieve a quality stabilization with a simple method by pulling a rubber strip at such a pulling speed which is determined by a fixed number of rotations of the tire which is being formed but not affected by the extruding speed of an extruder. CONSTITUTION:A rubber strip 5 which is extruded from a mouth piece 6 of an extruder 4 is adhered to the circumference of a tire which is being formed while the strip is being pulled by the rotation of the tire 2. The pulling speed of the rubber strip 5 is such a speed as to be determined by a fixed number of rotations of the tire which is being formed and as to minimize disorderly shapes of the tire and it is controlled by a speed control device 7. The pulling speed is always kept larger than the extruding speed in order to give a constant tension to the rubber strip. In other words, the volume of the rubber strip 5 which is extruded per unit time is almost identical and, therefore, if the strip is pulled at a fixed pulling speed, an identical thickness can be achieved. |
