PURPOSE:To provide an antifouling paint which has good storage stability and excellent antifouling performance and gives a coating film having an antifouling effect over a long period of time, consisting of a vehicle and a copper alloy powder contg. nickel or manganese and iron. CONSTITUTION:A paint compsn. consists of a vehicle and a copper alloy powder contg. 3-25wt% nickel and/or manganese and 0.1-1.5wt% iron. Examples of the vehicles are vinyl resins, chlorinated rubber resin, silicone rubber, oil varnish, rosin and organotin compd.-contg. polymers. The copper alloy powder is used in a quantity of pref. 100-950pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. (on a solid basis) vehicle. Optionally, one or more antifouling agents such as cuprous oxide, cuprous thiocyanate, tributyltin fluoride, thiurams or dithiocarbamate salts may be added.
