PURPOSE:To operate an induction motor to the desired high speed range by switching the number of series conductors of a stator winding to an arbitrary ratio to switch the specified speed in speed-output characteristic to an arbitrary value. CONSTITUTION:Full winding exciting transistor switch 311 in which a plurality of stator windings 21, 22 connected in series are connected with a drive power source 1, and a partial winding exciting transistor switch 321 in which part 21 of a plurality of stator windings is connected in series with the power source 1 without altering the number of poles at full winding exciting time are provided, and switched to become a full winding excitation at a low speed operating time and to become a partial winding excitation at a high speed operating time. Similarly, they are switched for V phase and W phase. |
