PURPOSE:To increase mechanical strength of a plastic electrode made of conductive high polymer material and reduce its weight without damaging the conductivity thereof by forming the conductive high polymer material on the surface of a collection body made of carbon sheet. CONSTITUTION:Polypyrol 5, polyacetylene and such are used as the conductive high polymer material. The carbon that is a light material and will not react with an electrolytic solution is used for a collection body 3. For example, the carbon fiber processed in a sheet form is used. The conductive material is formed on a substrate by the proper means such as vacuum deposition method and ion plating. Besides, the conductive high polymer material is formed on the collection body 3 by electrolytic polymerization and such. As a result, the plastic electrode can be provided with full conductivity, its mechanical strength can be increased, and its light weight can be achieved. |
