An arrangement for attaching a disposable paper bag to the rear discharge outlet of a lawnmower for collecting leaves and fragments of leaves, where the discharge outlet is surrounded by a mounting plate forming the rear of the mower. The arrangement comprises a support plate with elements whereby the support plate is attachable to the mounting plate, the support plate being apertured or cut- away so as not to interfere with the discharge outlet of the lawn mower when in place, and having a portion extending above the mounting plate. A flexible split ring is attached to the support plate at one position and has end portions provided with outwardly projecting finger operable tabs enabling the ring to be compressed by finger pressure, the ring also having outwardly projecting prongs spaced around the ring for piercing and holding the outer open end margin of the paper bag to the ring in its expanded state. |
