PURPOSE:To control the steering force according to car speed by using a piston having the different area onto which the hydraulic pressure acts in front and in rear as a cylinder apparatus for shifting a selector shaft in the axial direction. CONSTITUTION:As for a cylinder apparatus 72, the fluid-pressure acting area before and behind a piston 33 is made different by installing a small-diameter part 33a onto a piston 33, and the area on a selector shaft 11 side of the piston 33 is set larger than the area on an end cover 31 side. The electric current corresponding to car speed is applied onto a solenoid 64, and a flow-rate control valve 45 opens a bypass passage according to the pressure difference between before and behind a throttle passage 52, and the flow rate corresponding to the car speed is introduced into a control valve 53.
