PURPOSE:The titled composition that is obtained by adding, as a decomposition inhibitant, an unsaturated fatty acid or the like to insocyanuric chlorine compositions, thus being suitable for use as a disinfectant with high storability, because it liberates a very small amount of chlorine during storage with very reduced decomposition of isocyanuric chloride. CONSTITUTION:To 100pts.wt. of trichloroisocyanuric acid, dichloroisocyanuric acid or chlorinated isocyanuric acid complex of its hydrated alkali metal salt, are added 0.05-50pts.wt. of an unsaturated fatty acid, aliphatic unsaturated dicarboxylic acid or their alkali metal salts. The unsaturated fatty acid has, preferably 5-22 carbon atoms and its suitable example is sorbic, erucic, elaidic, oleic or linoleic acid. The aliphatic unsaturated dicarboxylic acids are, e.g., maleic or fumaric acid. USE:Disinfection, bleaching and washing for water in pool, for drinking, sewage water.
