PURPOSE:To provide the titled compsn. having an excellent bond strength, by blending a polyacrylate salt having a specified viscosity as a viscosity modifier with a rubber latex. CONSTITUTION:A polyacrylate having an intrinsic viscosity of 7-12dl/g, e.g. a (co)polymer of an alkali metal salt of (meth)acrylic acid, is used. A rubber latex (e.g. a carboxylated styrene/butadiene rubber latex), said polyacrylate salt, additives (e.g. inorg. filler, dispersant, anti-foaming agent, etc.), and water are mixed together to obtain an adhesive compsn. for carpet backing. |
