PURPOSE:To designate easily a cassette size and a recording area and to simplify the countermeasure to a change by selecting the set data in a memory according to a medium size designating signal given from an external device or an internal part. CONSTITUTION:A print data write control circuit 119 of a print control part contains a time count means 278 for recording start position of cross direction which counts the time from a scan starting position in the direction crossing the beam scan direction through the recording start position, a timepiece means 279 for recording end position of cross direction which counts the time from the scan starting position in the direction crossing the beam scan direction, recording medium store parts 317 and 321 and a means which stores the set data on the time count means for each medium size of the store part. The set data in a memory means is selected by a medium size designating signal given from an external device or an internal part. Thus the recording start and end positions are extracted out of the record data of each size and then set. Thus it is possible to cope with various set sizes. |
