PURPOSE:To prevent possible danger caused by gas evolved from a battery by installing an opening in a portion, facing a switch contact, of an appliance case, and covering the opening with a filter through which gas is permeable but liquid is not permeable, and switching the switch contact through the filter. CONSTITUTION:An opening 61 is installed in a portion, facing a switch contact spring 45, of an appliance housing 1 of a battery appliance such as an electrical shaver. The opening 61 is covered with a filter through which gas is permeable but liquid is not permeable and a switch packing 49, and a switch handle 51 is arranged on their outer side. By operating the switch handle 51, the switch contact spring 45 is moved through the filter 60 to switch the contact. Gas evolved from a battery is exhausted through the filter, and the filter installed near the switch increases explosion-proof ability. Therefore, safty of the appliance is increased, and assembly of the appliance is made simple by reducing parts. |
