STEREOSCOPIC DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE:To eliminate wirings for spectacles and the need for the accuracy of optical position and to reduce the size of a titled device by providing a liquid crystal plate which changes the deflection angle time dividedly in accordance with time intervals to the front face of a liquid crystal display device which displays the images sensed at different viewing points at specified time intervals. CONSTITUTION:An electronic switch 5.4 receives a signal from a frame change over circuit 5.3 and changes over right and left images at each one frame in the stage of operation. A full-surface liquid crystal driving circuis 5.5 adds the output shown in the figure (b) to a full-surface liquid crystal part by the signal synchronized with the frame-change over of the circuit 5.3. The deflecting angle in the observer direction is therefore made as shown in the figure (c) on the basis of deflection plates and the displays different in deflection angle by 90 deg. are obtd. with the right and left images. The observer is thus able to sense the right and left images as a stereoscopic image by wearing deflection spectacles having the deflection plates of which the deflection angles are the same as the deflection angles of the right and left images on the right and left.
