PURPOSE:To output an image with good quality by providing the second housing on a device which is supported so as to be openable and closeable with respect to the first housing, and to which a photosensitive body and a rotary scanning means have been installed, so that the rotary scanning means is placed at the same side as the side where a prescribed shaft is placed, with regard to the photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:A laser recording device 1 is constituted so that its housing can be divided into the lower side and the upper side, the first housing H1 of the lower side is placed statically, and on the other hand, the second housing H2 of the upper side is supported so as to be movable pivotally, centering around a revolving shaft 28 of a hinger. Both a photosensitive drum 2 and its scanning exposing mechanism are installed to the second housing H2 and moved, therefore, a prescribed optical relation is always held between both of them, and there is no possibility that a dislocation is generated in the optical distance. Also, when a rotary polyhedral mirror 251 and its driving motor mechanisms 255, 256 are placed at the side where a supporting shaft 28 exists, with regard to the drum 2, since the rotary polyhedral mirror 251 is placed near the supporting shaft 28 which is scarcely vibrated, a scanning line pitch on the drum 2 is held with a high accuracy, and a variation of a main scanning speed is also prevented. |
