PURPOSE:To obtain the titled knockout pin having prescribed hardness or above and improved corrosion resistance by working an alloy rod consisting of specified amounts of C, Si, Mn, Cr, Co, Mo, Al, Ti and Fe and the balance Ni with little impurities in the state of a solid soln. formed by soln. heat treatment and by subjecting the worked rod to specified aging. CONSTITUTION:An alloy rod having a composition consisting of, by weight, 0.05-0.20% C, <=0.5% Si, <=1.0% Mn, 14.0-22.0% Cr, 8.0-12.0% Co, 8.0-12.0% Mo, 0.75-1.5% Al, 2.0-3.0% Ti, <=5.0% Fe and the balance Ni with little impurities is worked to a prescribed shape in the state of a solid soln. formed by soln. heat treatment, and the worked rod is aged at about 760 deg.C. A knockout pin for a fluororesin molding machine having remarkably high resistance to corrosion by hydrofluoric acid and >=36 hardness HRC can be obtd. |
