PURPOSE:A toiletry of constant quality, having improved color, odor, stability and usability, and containing a product obtained by esterifying pentaerythritol with an >=8C monobasic acid and a >=12C dibasic acid as a base. CONSTITUTION:A toiletry containing a mixed ester consisting of a compound of the formula [R1, R2, R3, R4, R5 and R6 are H, or acyl derived from a fatty acid in the component (b); X is alkylene derived from a dibasic acid of the component (c)] as a main constituent obtained by esterifying (a) pentaerythritol with (b) an >=8C straight or branched chain or unsaturated and/or hydroxy -fatty acid and (c) an >=8C straight or branched chain dibasic acid. The mixture has a high affinity for, adhesion and wetting property to the skin, is colorless, odorless and inert property to the skin, is colorless, odorless and inert chemically, with suitable adhesivity, good compatibility with wax and good properties, e.g. high dissolving power for agents and will dissolve in rapeseed oil completely, therefore is suitable for a base of a toiletry. |
