PURPOSE:To decrease sticking of a binder compsn. for a gas curable casting mold to the casting mold and to make easy the removable thereof by using at least one kind of a limited weight ratio of an acid-setting resin and phthalate ester for the binder compsn. CONSTITUTION:This binder compsn. consists of 80-97wt% the acid-setting resin consisting essentially of furfuryl alcohol furan resin, phenolic resin, urea resin and melamine resin alone or the mixture or co-condensed matter of >=2 kinds of thereof and 3-20wt% at least one kind of the phthalate ester expressed by the general formula (where R1 and R2 are a straight chain or branched satd. aliphat. hydrocarbon group of 1-12C). The casting mold is produced by using the refractory granular material, binder and oxidizing agent and feeding gaseous or aerosol sulfur dioxide thereto. |
