PURPOSE:To increase the rate of receiving a molten iron without decreasing the desiliconization rate thereof and to improve the using efficiency of a molten iron pan by dividing pouring to plural times putting the time when the slag foaming of the molten metal poured into the molten iron pan settles between. CONSTITUTION:A desiliconizing agent is added to the molten iron flow in the mid-way of flowing-out of a tap hole 1 and thereafter the molten iron is poured into the molten iron pan 4. The molten iron 6 is poured up to a level (b) by taking the thickness of the layer of the slag 5 at which the foaming is predicted to arise up to a level (a) into consideration and thereafter the pouring is once interrupted to settle the foaming. When the foaming settles, the molten iron 6 is again poured up to the level (c) in the same manner as mentioned above. The receiving capacity of the molten iron pan having a normal capacity is thus considerably increased by the above-mentioned method. |
