The subject of the invention is a device for a rapid and easy assembly which applies to gangways. This method relates to the timber industry, but also to the iron or plastics industries. Referring to Figure 3 which gives the shapes and cuttings, the elements 1, 2, 3 and 4 constitute the arches of the gangway. The assembly of these elements which are previously cut if they are made of timber, moulded or pressed if they have an iron or plastic composition, is carried out by means of bolts and of threaded rods. The length of the threaded rods is variable and determines the width of the gangway. The assembly is strengthened by locking, at the same time, the nuts of the arches, of the guardrail uprights, and those of the handrail, and by screwing and nailing the cross-pieces. The end-pieces of the elements may be cut into various shapes so as to fit them to the part resting on the ground. The dimensions and the number of elements may be modified at will without an expensive conversion. <IMAGE>
