PURPOSE:To eliminate the regular inspection of supplying water and the like, by a method wherein an ink receiving vessel which shut off nozzle part from the open air by closing a head nozzle end, an ink reservoir vessel, and flow shut off means at the flowing route connecting between an ink drying vessel are provided. CONSTITUTION:Ink drips 6 which are sprayed to prevent the hardening etc. of ink at the nozzle end not in use, fall to the ink reservoir vessel 8 through the ink receiving vessel 5 contacting to the head nozzle end 2 and a communicating pipe 7, and are absorbed in a water absorptive felt 9. The ink reservoir vessel 8 is connected to the ink drying vessel 15 having vent hole to the open air and there is a shut-off valve 11 on the way. A plunger of a solenoid 12 moves to a arrow direction while electric source of the device is cut, and shut off a flowing route of a water level pipe 10. Hereby, the space formed by the head nozzle end 2 and the shut-off valve becomes a closed system covering the nozzle part 22. This closed space is maintained in high humidity by steam from the felt 9 in which ink drip 6 are absorbed, and the evaporation and hardening of ink at the ink nozzle part 22 are prevented. |
