PURPOSE:To obtain a blade cleaning device preventing a blade edge part from catching the adhesion or accumulation of toner or paper powder and providing fine pictures stably for a long period by arranging a blade cleaning member along the moving course of the blade. CONSTITUTION:Residual toner (a) on the surface of a recording medium 1 is scraped by a cleaning blade 11, slides and falls on the surface of a recovering film member 22 and is recovered to a recovery member 23 such as a spiral screw. When a lever 18 is lifted by a solenoid 19 after completing the cleaning, the cleaning blade 11 can be separated from the recording medium 1 in the B direction. When the solenoid 19 is released, the cleaning blade 11 is abutted upon the medium 1. At that time, the edge of the blade 11 is allowed to contact with the cleaning member 21 and paper powder or toner adhered to the edge of the blade 11 is removed. |
