PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION CONTAINING A STABILISED GLYCYRRHETINIC ACID DERIVATIVE

A pharmaceutical composition in the form of a water-containing cream which contains at least one glycyrrhetinic acid derivative, together with at least one non-toxic, water-soluble salt of zinc, calcium and/or magnesium as stabiliser; the composition is suitable for topical application in the treatment of inflammatory conditions and viral infections and overcomes instability problems associated with prior water based creams based on active glycyrrhetinic acid derivatives.
