The method detects and ejects fireproof ceramic pressings unevenly pressed and of powdery or granular material. During the pressing operation, distribution of the specific pressing pressure over the item surface is measured. The results obtained are compared with a stored and predetermined desired pressure value. Discrepancies are indicated and faulty pressings are ejected. This can be done in a press with two punches (4, 6) sliding in relation to each other and a die (7). There are a number of pressure gauges (9) over the surface of the items (8) and connected to a desired-value emitter and a comparator. ADVANTAGE - Simplicity and accurate operation. |
