PURPOSE:To provide the titled composition having excellent heat-resistance, amine-resistance, initial discoloration property, etc., by compounding a chlorine- containing polymer with a specific amount of powder composed of a silicic acid (salt) having a specific oil absorption and a perhalogenic acid. CONSTITUTION:A chlorine-containing polymer (e.g. polyvinyl chloride) is compounded with powder prepared by mixing (A) powdery silicic acid (e.g. colloidal silica) or silicate (e.g. calcium silicate) having an oil absorption of >=30ml/100g, preferably >=50ml/100g with (B) an aqueous solution of perhalo genic acid under agitation at a high speed. The amount of the perhalogenic acid in the powder is selected to 0.005-3wt%, preferably 0.05-0.8wt% based on the polymer.
