PURPOSE:To eliminate the need to installing a developing tank for color development, deal with polychromatic image formation, reduce the size of a device and improve the space efficiency by constituting a disposal tank detachably. CONSTITUTION:The developing device 5 is connected detachably to a portable developer tank (disposal tank) connected to the installed developer tank which contains a developer. For example, the developing device 5 has an entrance 28 for putting a developer in and an exit 29 for discharging it, and the entrance 28 is connected to the discharge port of a pump 31B for discharging the black developer 30 put in the installed developer tank 29B and a feed pipe 32B. The end part of the feed pipe 32B and the discharge port of the pump 31 are detachable from a connector C. The developer 30B is formed by dispersing black toner in base liquid having high insulation. The black toner is stored in a toner bottle 34B and the base liquid is stored in a base liquid bottle 35 respectively; and they are supplied to the developer tank 29B properly.
