PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an optical transmitter with a simple structure capable of easily aligning an optical coupling part without separately providing a laser for alignment in stack mounting by optical coupling of a laser substrate and a PLC using a mirror; and an optical transmitting apparatus.SOLUTION: A laser is provided on a substrate. At both ends of the laser, an output waveguide of signal light and an output waveguide of alignment light are provided. At tips of output waveguides of the signal light and the alignment light, optical coupling parts including a mirror for converting optical paths are provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
