PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavelength demultiplexer that can maintain optical reception power at each reception node without increasing processing delay or pressing a communication band in a wavelength routing system capable of multicast communication.SOLUTION: A wavelength demultiplexer 93 comprises: a wavelength de-multiplexing unit 31 that de-multiplexes a wavelength multiplexed optical signal transmitted by an OLT (Optical Line Terminal) per wavelength group determined correspondingly to the number of ONUs (Optical Network Units) for receiving a wavelength multiplexed optical signal; optical amplification units 34-1 to 34-n that amplify an optical signal for each group at an amplification rate determined per wavelength group; a wavelength de-multiplexing unit 35 that de-multiplexes the optical signal for each wavelength group into an optical signal with a communication wavelength determined correspondingly to each ONU; an optical combination/separation unit 32 that divide the optical signal with each communication wavelength into the number of ONUs corresponding to each wavelength group; and a wavelength multiplexing unit 33 that multiplexes the optical signal with each communication wavelength per ONU.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9 |
