PURPOSE:To equal the AD conversion accuracy and to improve the accuracy of color reading by equaling output levels of CCD sensors corresponding to light emitting energies of red, green and blue fluorescent lamps. CONSTITUTION:Integrating periods PR, PG and PB of red, green and blue reflected light energies are decided, and shading waveform data is written in R, G and B memories 16-18. Lamps continue flickering for a several or several-ten sec. Then, after red, green and blue light emitting periods are detected and a shading memory 15 is refreshed, an operation enters a color reading action. In order to weaken a red color, its light emitting period is again decided, however, re-writing to the R memory 16 is not executed. Based on the light emitting period decided in such a way the color reading is executed. In order to emphasize a red color, its light emitting period is decided, and the color reading is executed.
