PURPOSE:To prevent collision with an obstacle at high speed running by switching a detection range of an obstacle detection sensor in response to the running speed of an unattended truck. CONSTITUTION:A sensor switching section 14 is controlled by a signal 13 from an operation control section 5 and a detection range d of the obstacle sensor 4 is switched. The running speed of the unattended truck is divided into three stages; high, medium and low speed and the detecting range D is switched according to the selected speed; that is, a remote detecting range D1 for high speed, a medium range D2 for medium speed and a nearby range D3 for low speed. That is, when a speed signal from the operatiang control section 5 is the high speed signal, only a switch S1 is closed, when the medium speed, only a switch S2 is closed and when a low speed signal, only switch S3 is closed.
