PURPOSE:To set up the solid hydrogen cell in the caption to have both thin configuration and practicable strength by employing an ion exchange film having normal mechanical strength without decreasing moisture content even at high temperature. CONSTITUTION:A negative electrode 1 is made of hydrogen occluding Ti-Ni alloy and a cation exchange film 2 is inserted between the negative electrode 1 and positive electrode 3. Meanwhile, MnO2 is used as the positive electrode 3. Both the negative electrode 1 and positive electrode 3 are provided with platinum plates 4 respectively on their faces and platinum lead wires 5 are connected to the platinum plate 4 and coupled to the external terminals. Bakelite plates 6 are arranged on both obverse and reverse as a battery encloser and hold the cell by means of screws 7. And if both the electrode and positive electrode active material are formed in this layer form by means of printing process, sputtering process or vacuum evaporation process etc., a solid hydrogen cell of much thinner size and a longer cyclic service life of charge/discharge can be obtained. |
