PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic head that does not cause fluctuation of output even at the time of off-track and does not cause decrease in S/N ratio by applying short-circuit ring to an erasing head core. CONSTITUTION:Besides winding for erase head, short-circuit ring 65 is applied to the erasing head core. It is enough to install such a short-circuit ring 65 to induce a magnetic field in the direction opposite to AC magnetic field induced in the erasing head at the time of off-track. By applying such a short-circuit ring 65, an AC magnetic field induced in the erasing head at the time of off- track can be canceled. |
