PURPOSE:To obtain an image of only a small area of a subject with high resolution and high sensitivity by providing a fan beam collimator part to the center part of an ECT collimator and a diversity collimator to the peripheral part. CONSTITUTION:When a collimator 3 is mounted on the front surface of a scintillation camera 7, the heart 2 of a patient 1 enters the visual field of the fan beam collimator part 4 and other body parts enter the visual field of the diversity collimator part 5. Then, gamma rays from radioactive isotope with which the partient 1 is dosed are incident on a camera 7 through the collimator 3 to obtain gamma-ray incidence count data at respective positions. When the camera 7 is rotated around the body axis of the patient 1 as a center axis of rotation in a plane perpendicular to the body axis, the small area of the heart 2 enters the visual field of the collimator part 4, so high-resolution and high-sensitivity data are collected and other body areas enter the visual field of the collimator part 5, so data required to reconstitute a tomographic image of the whole body are collected although their resolution and sensitivity are low. |
