PURPOSE:To make the device in small size by incorporating an arrangement in which a replacement head, whose operation is not interferential with the motion of a work supply device, draws drills one after another out of respective magazines of cassette type to hand over each drill in the position where fitting on the spindle is available. CONSTITUTION:A replacement head 23 is located right over a drill 8 accommodated a magazine 49. When air pressure is applied to a free piston 31, a rod 39 and drill retainer 38 are depressed together with an upper inner cylinder 35 through the action of a spring 40, so that tip 8a of the drill is set in the retainer 38, and if a rod pushing piston 32 is pressurized to heave the rod 39, the drill 8 is supported by the retainer 38. When the piston 31 is pressurized in opposite direction with the piston 32 held pressurized, to thrust up the intermediate inner cylinder 37 together with the upper inner cylinder 35, the drill 8 is drawn off from the magazine 49. If upon rotation by a rotating means 34 the spindle 9 is sunk to chuck the drill 8 together with release of an air passage 27, the rod 39 is pushed up by a spring 47 to cause the drill 8 to be released. |
