PURPOSE:To shut off the splash and machining oil perfectly with a simply formed splash guard by providing a shaft of slide type between a machining center and a pallet transfer device, and eliminating the use of any shaft retaining bracket. CONSTITUTION:When a pallet 3 is carried into a machining center, a slide type shaft 11 and a transfer arm 4 are rotated by a rotary actuator 6 to accomplish insertion into a groove formed in the pallet 3. At this time, a pallet groove projection 12 intrudes in a transfer arm groove 13. Then a straight motion actuator 5 advances the pallet 3 onto the track surface 9 of the machining center 9. The transfer arm 4 is drawn out of the groove in the pallet 3 by rotating a rotary actuator 6 and retracted by said straight motion actuator 5. For carrying out, the inverted procedure shall apply. According to this arrangement, a simply formed splash guide is interposed between the device and machining center, which will ensure that the splash and machining oil are shut off perfectly. |
