Device for refrigerated storage, especially for storage during transport from one or more central locations to usage locations for local storage. The device comprises a number of transports units, such as cooling boxes (2), with storage space. Each transport unit (2) contains reservoir space, which is designed to be filled with a cooling agent of the type that becomes at least partially frozen but can still be pumped at a low temperature. The cooling agent can maintain this state almost constant until it has completely assumed a liquid state. The reservoir space is enclosed by a jacket, which is equipped with outer insulation as well as insulation facing the storage space of the transport unit. The insulation facing the reservoir space is broken to bring the jacket in thermal contact with the storage space. The reservoir space for cooling agent has a number of outer connections. The device also comprises a central, preferably stationary cooling unit (1) with a reservoir (8) for the cooling agent as well as cooling devices (11, 15) for the cooling agent and connection bodies (21, 23) for the outer connections of the transport units (2). Transport devices (18, 19, 20, 22) like lines and pumps are located between the cooling agent reservoir (8) and the connecting bodies (21, 23) so that the cooled agent (9) can be transferred via the transport unit connections and the cooling unit (1) connecting bodies (21, 23) to the transport units' reservoir space while warmed agent is removed from the same. This allows the storage space of the transport unit to be kept cool while the cooling agent assumes its liquid state.<IMAGE> |
