PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for an exclusive pilot signal by recording multiplexly sound information having a reference clock together with video information, using the reference signal obtained from a reproducing signal of the sound information so as to apply a disc turning motor control and jitter correction. CONSTITUTION:Compact Disc sound information and a high definition television signal subject to band compression by the MUSE system are recorded on a disc 1. An optical head 5 detects information from the disc 1, an LFP 9 extracts the standard sound information and applies the output to a demodulation circuit 10 and a frequency division circuit 13. An output 14 and a reference signal obtained by frequency-dividing an output of a reference signal generator 16 by a frequency division circuit 17 are fed to a frequency phase comparator 15, its output controls a motor 2 so as to suppress low frequency time axis fluctuation of a reproducing signal due to fluctuation of a wind loss of the disc. The frequency division output 14 and the reference signal 18 are compared by a phase comparison stage 20, an output 21 controls a jitter actuator in an optical head 5 to suppress the time base fluctuation of the reproducing signal due to warp or distortion of the disc.
