PURPOSE:To execute easily the lead test of a circulation gas device by providing a closing plate which closes the aperture of an immersion pipe via elastic members on a base plate for lead test and providing O-rings for sealing between the bottom end of the immersion pipe and the closing plate. CONSTITUTION:Two reflux pipes 12 are provided to a lower vessel 11 of a vacuum degassing vessel 10 and are respectively connected to the immersion pipes 14 by means of bolts and nuts. The elastic members 25 are provided via pedestals 21 and sand bath 22 on the base plate 20 for lead test. The closing plate 26 for closing the aperture at the bottom end of the pipe 14 is imposed on the members 25 and the O-rings 28 for sealing are installed on the top surface side of the plate 26. The plate 20 is pressurized in the direction A by an oil pressure to bring the plate 26 into press contact with the bottom end of the pipe 14 via the members 25 so that the bottom end of said pipe is pressed and closed in the case of making the lead test. The inside of the vessel 10 is then evacuated to the reduced pressure and the decrease in the pressure in the vessel 10 is measured, by which the leak condition is tested. |
