PURPOSE:To select a synthetic diamond by a simple method by holding the test diamond between electrode parts of tips of a pair of tweezers and measuring its conductivity and the existence of its polarity by a permanent magnet. CONSTITUTION:The test diamond is held between the electrode parts 3a and 3b fitted to the tip parts 2a and 2b of a pair of tweezers 1 and its conductivity is detected by a detector 5. Further, it is discriminated if the test diamond is attracted by the permanent magnet 6 and its magnetism is detected. The synthetic diamond is decided if it has both conductivity and magnetism. Accordingly, the synthetic diamond can be selected simply even without the expertise by the inexpensive measuring method. |
