PURPOSE:To enable a removal of acid ammonium sulfate adhesion material and extend an interval of water washing for the air preheater by a method wherein the element placed in such a temperature area as acid ammonium sulfate is adhered is reacted with the acid ammonium sulfate and coated with solid substance in this temperature area. CONSTITUTION:Material 12 which is reacted with acid ammonium sulfate and has solid substance of acid ammonium sulfate having a relative high viscosity is coated to the acid ammonium sulfate adhering area of the element material 11. For example, iron oxide, calcium oxide, magnesium oxide etc. are suitable for this coating material 12, and this coating material is reacted with the acid ammonium sulfate and solidified, thereby a reaction with the element main body 11 is prevented and further a producing of solid adhering layer under adhesion and reaction with the main body of this element is prevented. With this arrangement, a removal under a soot blowing is facilitated and the coating material 12 in powder form is adhered by binder agent or several coating layers are over lapped to enable an endurable time to be extended. Therefore, it is made possible to extend the interval of termination in plant operation for cleaning of air preheater with water. |
