PURPOSE:To offer an electronic equipment of simple, inexpensive structure which is excellent in operativity and reduces fatigue even when the equipment is used for a long time by providing a member which shields a keyboard and using this keyboard shield member as a palm rest during equipment operation. CONSTITUTION:The keyboard cover 8 has side places 8h and is provided with lock means 8a' composed of recessed or projection parts inside of the forward prolongation parts of the side plates, and lock means 8a composed of projection or recessed parts are provided to an equipment housing 5 at corresponding positions. Therefore, the keyboard cover 8 is fixed to the equipment housing 5 firmly by those lock means when mounted and also detached by spreading the prolongation parts of the side plates of the keyboard cover 8. Consequently, the keyboard cover 8 forms a slanting surface connecting with a keyboard part and an operator can rest his or her hands on this part during operation.
