PURPOSE:To offer a vacuum molding machine having a vacuum seal component which enables the inside between hot plates to be kept in a state of vacuum always, by a method wherein the titled machine is provided with the seal component composed of a hollow elastic material arranged between a hot plate press and press and a device introducing compressed air into the hollow elastic material. CONSTITUTION:A groove is provided on each hot plate 9 and a seal component is fixed to the groove with a seal component fixing stand 10 and fixing pin 7. The hot plate 9 is provided with a port 3 for keeping the inside between the hot plates at vacuum and a feed port of a heating medium 11. A material 2 performing laminate molding is set up between the hot plates 9 by making a press 1 ascend, predetermined pressure is applied to the material to be molded by making the press descend, compressed air is sent into the inside of a seal component 4 through a port 5, the seal component 4 is made to expand the the inside between the hot plates is sealed up tightly. Then vacuum exhaust is applied to the inside by a vacuum pump 8, and then the laminate molding is performed by performing a temperature rise by feeding a heating medium to the hot plate.
