A road bollard assembly comprises a plurality of bollards (32) and at least one bollard mounting (10). Each bollard mounting (10) consists of an extruded, elongate strip of resiliently deformable material (e.g. rubber, plastics or aluminium) and provides the means for the mounting and securing of the bollards (32), via their bases (30). The mounting means is a channel (22) having recesses either adjacent or spaced from the base (12) of the channel. The bollard bases are slid inside the channel and held by the lips (18 and 20) formed by the recesses. Thus, the bollards (32) are prevented from being displaced from their desired positions by e.g. traffic impact or high winds. <IMAGE> |
