PURPOSE:To obtain a life jacket capable of sufficiently attaining buoyancy with one of air chambers even if the other air chamber is broken by forming a near-horse shoe type bag body dividedly into two air chambers: right and left. CONSTITUTION:A lift jacket is constituted with a bag body 1 having a near- horse shoe type overall plane shape, and a partition section 2 is provided on a curved section 1a and the bag body 1 is divided into the right and left. This bag body is constituted with a non-permeable cloth material, free ends of the horse shoe shape are made barrel sections 3, 4 respectively, the partition section 2 is provided nearly at the center along the curved section, and hook-like sections 5, 6 are formed above and below it. Cut cases 7, 8 and auxiliary air feed rubber tubes 9, 10 are fitted to the barrel sections 3, 4, and the barrel sections can be inflated with carbon dioxide by pulling cords 7a, 8a to open valves of the cut cases 7, 8.
